How is Chlamydia transmitted?
Chlamydia is transmitted through sexual contact with the penis, vagina, mouth, or anus of an infected partner
ejaculation does not have to occur for chlamydia to be transmitted or acquired
Chlamydia can be spread from an untreated mother to her baby during childbirth, which can result in the baby developing conjunctivitis or pneumonia
Recovered persons with chlamydia can get infected again if they engage in sexual activity with an infected person
It is spread when infected fluids (vaginal fluids, semen, and/or pre-cum)
Using a condom or dam during sexual activity of any kind can reduce the risk of transmission
You cannot get chlamydia by sharing the same toilet seats or bathrooms with an infected person
