1962: J.C.R Licklider proposed the idea that a networkork of computers could communicate with one another.
1969: The first message was sent from one computer to another using the ARPANET(Advanced Research Project Agency) which was the governments computer network. Only four computers were able to communicate with one another by the end of that year.
1971: The University of Hawaii's Aloha net was added and so were networks in London and in Norway two years later. Also, Ray Tomlinson was developing the first system to mail back and forth calle "Email".
1971: A man named Vinton Cerf invented a way to introduce computers across the world to each other in a virtual space called Transmission Control Protocol which was followed by internet protocol in the 80's.
1991: A programer named Tim Berners-lee invented the world-wide web which was an entire network of information that was accessible to anyone with Internet connection.
1992: A graphic interface called Erwise was created which lead to several other browsers such as Netscape Navigator and Dial-Up that are the foundation to Facebook, Twitter, and Youtube. We also wouldnt be able to acces information in seconds.
